R A S Wines Branding & Design
Murphy Empire partnered with R A S Wines (Roche Appel Smith), an award-winning premium wine maker using only sustainably and organically harvested Maine blueberries, to develop a completely handmade brand identity system. The project included vintage-inspired label packaging, handset typography, hand-drawn blueberry sprigs, corporate stationery, and full print/web/social branding — delivering a refined brand voice, presence and aesthetic as distinctive as the wine itself.

Brand Identity & Creative Direction
Our creative direction drew on craftsmanship, heritage, and artisanal sensibility. We crafted a visual identity system rooted in hand-crafted typography, vintage signage motifs, and the natural provenance of Maine berries. Every detail—from typographic treatment to symbol construction—reflects the brand’s commitment to tradition, quality, and place.
Logo Design & Visual Language
We designed a custom logotype and supporting mark architecture that evoke the heritage of boutique wine making and artisanal selection. Supporting visual language includes handset type, hand-drawn blueberry sprigs, classic signage iconography, and texture work that extends the brand across print, web, packaging and social media with consistent voice and feel.
Packaging & Brand Assets
We translated the identity into the initial wine label suite — bottle labels, box packaging, corporate stationery — and extended across digital and social campaigns. Each asset maintained the vintage aesthetic and premium positioning, ensuring the R A S Wines brand stood out as distinctive, refined, and deeply rooted in Maine’s terroir.
