Foliage Cannabis Co. Branding & Design
Murphy Empire partnered with Foliage Cannabis Co., a Southern Maine grower and producer of premium cannabis flower and products, to create a completely handmade brand identity system. The design combines artisanal typography, custom illustration, and modern urban grit — reflecting the brand’s deep craftsmanship and connection to Maine’s natural landscape. The result is a distinctive visual identity that feels raw, refined, and unmistakably authentic.

Brand Identity & Creative Direction
Our creative direction focused on contrast: the organic beauty of nature and the industrial precision of modern cultivation. The visual identity system brings together rugged texture, refined composition, and a touch of urban street character. Each piece — from logotype to mark composition — reflects the brand’s commitment to authenticity and craft.
Logo Design & Visual Language
We developed a custom script logo and stencil-style logotype, both drawn by hand to convey individuality and craftsmanship. The supporting mark suite includes geometric insignias, typographic seals, and hand-rendered illustrations that reference plant forms and Maine’s outdoors. The combination of hand lettering and clean stencil design captures both the natural and urban facets of the brand.
Packaging & Product Design
The identity extends into full packaging for flower products, pre-rolls, and accessories. We designed cohesive label systems, box formats, and texture details that highlight Foliage’s handmade, small-batch ethos. The packaging and material choices convey tactile honesty and premium quality while remaining visually approachable and modern.
Merchandise, Signage & Marketing Visuals
We created a suite of branded merchandise and promotional materials, including apparel, wool throw blankets, matches, flags, pennants, and stickers. Signage and retail displays carry the brand’s industrial-organic fusion into the physical space. Web, print, and social marketing visuals maintain visual consistency with the handmade aesthetic — bold, earthy, and unmistakably Maine.
