Flowers & Candy Branding & Design
Murphy Empire partnered with Flowers & Candy, an eclectic, boutique shop in Portland’s Old Port offering artisan leather, wood, metal goods, accessories, THC & CBD products, local art and design. We developed a comprehensive brand identity system, crafted a custom website, and created print, web and social assets — including a handmade logo and mark suite — that reflect the shop’s ethos: Utility + Beauty = Joy. The result is a brand rooted in craftsmanship, local-mindful sourcing, and aesthetic integrity.

Brand Identity & Creative Direction
Our creative direction emphasized artisan heritage, quality materials, eclectic and local provenance. We built a visual identity system that channels the handmade culture of the products offered — blending texture, refined minimalism, and handmade details. Every element — from typography to mark systems to layout choices — supports the brand voice of high-quality, local-centric artistry.
Logo Design & Visual Language
The custom logotype and mark system were designed with reference to craft traditions: subtle irregularities, handcrafted character, and materials-inspired presence. Supporting visual language—including mark variations, texture treatments, and a flexible layout system—ensures the brand remains coherent across bags, POS displays, signage, screens, social feeds, and printed assets.
Website & Print/Web Asset Development
We translated the identity into a fully custom website that displays curated artisan goods and communicates the shop’s ethos through imagery, typography, and navigation. The identity was extended into print collateral, social-media visuals, email campaigns, and web assets — creating a unified brand presence that feels as handcrafted as the items sold.
